Prepare the circuit and control requirements
List the circuits, control positions and whether you need switching, dimming or coordinated room scenes. The assessment checks wiring, a neutral conductor where required by the model, wall-box space and the load connection. A no-neutral product is not selected simply because it looks like the existing switch; its instructions and compatibility with the actual load still matter.

Dimming is a separate compatibility question
If you want adjustable brightness, provide the models of the lamps and LED drivers already installed. A smart switch does not make every lamp dimmable. The load and control method need review, followed by a test of the agreed operating range, including unwanted flicker or other unsuitable behaviour. Any required electrical alterations are identified and coordinated with the appropriate specialist in the work scope.
Connectivity, scenes and handover
The control plan identifies any network or gateway dependency, who owns the administration account and how occupants use the physical controls. Commissioning checks the switches, names and agreed scenes, and explains functions that rely on connectivity or additional equipment. For a workplace, the way staff use controls and who can change scenes also form part of the discussion.

Can a smart switch replace any existing switch?
The wiring, wall box, load and model specifications must be checked. Similar appearance or dimensions do not establish electrical compatibility.
Are all LED lamps dimmable?
No. The lamp, driver and controller specifications must be reviewed, and the required function tested before dimming is accepted.
Can I start with one room?
Yes. A limited first phase can be assessed with future expansion in mind, followed by a clear list of equipment and preparation requirements.
