Use the current official framework
The Ministry of Interior publishes Law61 of2015 and the later Decree-Law76 of2026, published on29July2026. The amendment replaces Article5: establishments subject to the law must retain recordings for at least120continuous days, with alteration, erasure, deletion or processing prohibited during that period. After the minimum, an establishment may adopt a retention system suited to its activity and size, provided it does not conflict with requirements set by the competent authority. The older instruction to automatically destroy recordings immediately after120days should not be repeated as the current rule.
