Assess the motor, track and curtain together
Review side or centre opening, track length, fabric weight and the proposed track and motor specifications. Operating limits and required components vary by model; a motor is not assumed to suit every track or curtain. For an existing installation, identify which parts can be retained and which need alteration or replacement before purchasing components.

Site preparation affects the result
For a new project, coordinate the motor and power positions with ceiling and interior works before routes are closed. For an occupied property, review access and cable routes rather than assuming that no alterations will be needed. The quotation should identify responsibility for the track, fabric, mounting, power and configuration so essential work is included in the cost discussion.
Test the movement, not just the application icon
Commissioning checks travel direction, movement, stopping and limits according to the model instructions, followed by the agreed commands, schedule or scene. Handover explains the supported controls and what to expect during connectivity or power interruptions for that design. A curtain icon in an application does not by itself confirm successful operation; acceptance tests must use the actual curtain.

Can I retain the existing fabric?
That can be assessed after checking the fabric, weight, opening arrangement, track and proposed motor. A general photograph alone does not establish that every component can be retained.
Does every motor connect directly to WiFi?
No. Control interfaces and gateway or integration requirements vary by model and are identified before installation.
Does the price include the track and power work?
The quotation defines this. Ask for the components, mounting, power, configuration and any additional site preparation to be listed.
